In light of the current discussion in the Supreme Court and all over facebook, I would like to share some information with you.

There are a lot of confusing messages being thrown at us. We are taught to love everyone and we should love everyone and be kind and respectful. But loving everyone does not mean that we sanction every behavior. We are taught that we have agency. Yep, that’s true. We can choose our behavior, but we cannot choose the consequences to ourselves or to those around us.

I do hope that you will read and thoughtfully consider the following articles. The fallout of non-traditional unions is frequently tragic and not just for the couples. I think it’s interesting that we are so eager to outlaw “dangerous” behaviors like smoking, drinking soda and eating trans-fats, but we actually promote this behavior that is not only known to drastically shorten the life-spans of its participants, but is also known to destroy the lives of those around it.

Yes, let’s be caring and compassionate, but let’s not be ignorant, superficial or selective in doing so.
